How much of my donations get to the programs? As our Foundation is all volunteer apart from any expenses such as shipping items and bank charges for fund transfers all donations are used for programs or projects; either in a general fund or specific project funds.

How do I donate online? You may donate on line through Paypal, send a check to the Foundation, or call to make other arrangements.

Can I designate what project my donation funds; You may donate for a specific project of your choosing or decide to place the donation in a general fund for which the Board votes on allocation.

Are my donations tax exempt? The Allen Foundation is a designated IRS non-profit 501c3 in good standing. An Exemption Letter is available on this tab under "exempt letter". You can print and attach it to your taxation documents.

Where can I contact you in person? The last page of the web site has our contact information via email, phone or mail.

Do you have volunteer opportunities? At this time we do not, however if you wish to provide some service through the Foundation, we will put you in touch with the local manager in Masaka Uganda. Possibilities, such as teaching at a local school, and other positions may be arranged.

If I sponsor a child in school do I receive a progress reports? School report cards and letters are emailed to donors.

How do you send items to Uganda? We send boxes the cheapest way possible, but need to ship by air. We use the United States Post Office as it is the cheapest way even though their prices are rising dramatically. We really need help with shipping costs to continue to send supplies. Sometimes items are purchased locally in Uganda, but donated items need to be shipped.
