well as our personal knowledge of the area and the most important needs and ways that the funds can be best utilized.
We do not receive any government funds we are strictly donation funded and your generosity is greatly appreciated by all.

THE SCHOOL DESPERATELY NEEDS YOUR HELP!
The Narozari Rural School in the Maska Region of Uganda desperately
needs help to rebuild pit latrine facilities for their girls. The current facility barely operates and the edges are starting
to crumble in causing not only a health hazard but a physical one as well. Our Foundation has just sent some money raised
to start the work, but we could do with some more donations to get this job completed. Think about your daughter and her toilet
facilities at school and compare this picture. Any dollar you can spare will help.
Girls latrine is finished! Thank you everyone

FUND A CHILD FOR ONE YEAR AT SCHOOL
US$160.00
As one of the poorest of the African countries, Malawi, while
having a free school system limits attendance for its poorest children by imposing things like exam fees each term, the need
for mandatory school uniforms, and the need for the families to supply the needs for the children in their classes.
Through the foundation and a donation of $160 per year we can provide these services for children. Your donation of just .43cents
per day can do this. Imagine a year's worth of school supplies for the cost of 4 lattes - that makes it real doesn't it.
We know times are hard for us all but we ask that you can
find it in your heart to make a donation to provide a needy child with a chance for the future. You don't think it makes them
happy to know they can attend school? look at this face!
UGANDA
The issues with the school in the Masaka region of Uganda, Narozari Rural Primary School
is much the same as all over African - underfunded education. The Allen Foundation is focused on providing the means
for girls to attend school. In Uganda the price for a year at school, including supplies and uniforms is $150 and a little
bit more for upper grades.
If you wish for us to locate a child for you to individually fund, please email us and
we will do our best to assist you in your wishes to provide an education for a child who may not have it otherwise.

One School uniform $20
School uniforms are mandatory.
Cost per child for primary school is US$20. This includes, 1 skirt or pants, blouse, sweater, 1 pair socks, shoes.
High School uniform is US$30 per child plus sports uniforms of shorts, tshirts and sneakers US$10
On top of school supplies, parents are required to pay "donations" to the school for such things as the building.
desks and other costs. These can reach amounts of US6 and up. Once again it doesn't sound like much to us who have it but
the addons and requirements are overwhelming for many parents.
|
These amounts may not seem a lot, but imagine if you had four children, and made less than US$1 per day. It is the reason
many children in Tanzania do not go to school.
